Watching birds over the water and in trees and bushes is fascinating pasttime any day of the week. Red-winged and yellow-headed blackbirds sing in the reeds along the water. Kestrels fledged from the box by Stumphenge. Great blue herons flap their way over the water to pick their favorite fishing holes. White Egrets and Night Herons visit for birders.

There are no fees at the McNary NWR.

Free!

Follow the cement paths around the building to the deck or go on down the ADA path
